Global, flexible and individual support
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Support-Girona:
Support-Girona is committed to improving the world through sustainable development goals (SDGs) with the aim to #LeaveNoOneBehind (#NoDeixarNingúEnrere). Universalism, interconnection, inclusion, and cooperation are key values for transforming the world by providing help to those in need. By being aware of the importance of contributing to the improvement of the world, we at Support-Girona, in line with the goals set by the 2030 Agenda of United Nations and the Report of the Advisory Board of the Government of Catalonia, are committed to a more sustainable management by offering a fresh perspective to fulfil the founding goals. Therefore, we want to contribute to the 17 goals of the United Nations by prioritising the 10 goals which aim at preserving and improving the quality of life of the people we assist by providing more inclusive support that is adapted in accordance with the needs and will of each person.
Drawing from the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which was ratified by the Spanish State in 2008, Support-Girona seeks to promote, protect, and ensure the full enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms under equal conditions, along with emphasising the inherent dignity of every person. Moreover, its plan takes into account the data from the UN Flagship Report on Disability and Development 2018 as well as the data from its own activities.
Support-Girona is a member of the Catalonia Alliance 2030, which was formed by organisations that had signed the National Agreement for the 2030 Agenda in Catalonia and have made specific commitments for the implementation of the SDGs. In 2022, the organisations of the Catalonia Alliance 2030 met in order to identify 10 challenges for sustainable development.
