Global, flexible and individual support
Erasmus+ project 2017-1-ES01-KA204-038185: Supported decision-making using digital, literacy, and numeracy skills
This is a project led by Support-Girona which aims to improve the knowledge and intervention methodology in order to create materials for specialists who care for persons with disabilities so that they can offer them supported decision-making services. The project focuses on three specific areas: personal finance, healthcare, and consumer rights.
Many persons with disabilities enter adulthood with little training in digital, literacy, and numeracy skills. Therefore, I-Decide collaborative project aims to improve these skills so as to promote supported decision-making while fully respecting the person’s wishes and preferences.
Organisations from Finland, Belgium (EASPD), Greece, and the United Kingdom, along with the Arnau d'Escala Campus Foundation in Girona, are participating as partners in this project.
I-Decide has made it possible to draw up guidelines so that specialists can put the supported decision-making process into practice. Hundreds of specialists from all over Catalonia and Spain have already been trained in the proposed intervention methodology.
